CBD for Dummies

Our goal at ReeLeaf CBD & More has been to educate our community about the benefits of CBD. We want to make sure we offer wellness options and information our customers can readily understand and utilize in their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Our philosophy is that feeling better should not cost a fortune.

The first question I ask any new customer is “Do you use CBD?”

If they are like most people, they usually have a familiar understanding of marijuana and hemp. CBD and products containing a mix of THC and CBD are on the rise. This leads to confusing myths and misconceptions about how pure CBD works in the body in comparison to those products containing THC.

Marijuana is a plant we are all familiar with. If you ingest products from the marijuana plant, it contains THC.

Hemp is a different plant in the same family and CBD is extracted from the hemp plant. To be considered a "no worry CBD" product, there has to be no trace of THC in the extraction from the hemp plant. The way the extraction process currently has improved to the point there is no THC at all. So, you are getting the full benefit of CBD without any THC. This purest form of CBD extracted is what we use in our ReeLeaf product line.

The best way to describe how CBD works is this.

We all have an endocannabinoid system running in our body. This system is natural, in all of us. Even animals have it. Marijuana and hemp are cannabinoids. They are from the same family of cannabinoids. They are basically cousins. Yet, they have different properties in how they work in the endocannabinoid system.

Marijuana works on CB1 receptors in the endocannabinoid system. So, the issue is you get that high feeling, munchies and it will “mask” pain. Hemp, on the other hand, works on CB2 receptors in the endocannabinoid system. CB2 receptors work differently. They are designed to replace what is missing in that endocannabinoid system. And it does it without the "high" or the "munchies."

Hemp and CBD extracted from the hemp plant actively replaces what is missing in the endocannabinoid system. It’s works on rebuilding and replenishing the missing cannabinoids needed to functions at it's best level. I call that the CBD wellness factor.

I love educating people on the difference of CBD and THC because I have heard and seen powerful testimonies from customers and how happy they are once they start using CBD in their daily lives.
